About Us
Dr. Shawna Dingman, B.Sc. (Hons), D.C., F.I.C.P.A - Chiropractor and Founder of the Children's Wellness Centre
Dr. Shawna is a family chiropractor who works almost exclusively with women, children and babies. She is proud to be part of the amazing team of practitioners and support staff at The Children’s Wellness Centre. She created the Children’s Wellness Centre so that she could have a massive and direct impact on the future health of her own children as well as every child in our community. She is a well-known health and motivational speaker and writer.
Dr. Shawna graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario, then completed her chiropractic education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She has earned her Fellowship Certification in pediatric and pregnancy care through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). She also holds a certificate for proficiency in the Webster In Utero Constraint Technique, a technique used for safely allowing breech babies to turn. Despite her many years in school, she feels that her most significant education has been as a wife and mother of 3 children, as well as a doctor in some of the busiest practices in Canada.
When not at the office, Dr. Shawna is a dedicated mom and wife. She and her husband, Craig, have 3 children: Jackson, Jenna and Cole. As a family, they love to spend time cottaging, camping, skiing and traveling together. Being both a mother and a doctor have given Dr. Shawna a unique perspective on health care, one that brings both love and nurturing support to her patients.
